Anniversary Message

Dear Church Family,

Thank you for the invitation to join you on 29th May to celebrate your churches 50th Anniversary but I am afraid my travelling days are over.  However, I am delighted to be able to greet you and send best wishes by pen and paper.  I heartily congratulate you for your strong church today when so many other churches, both here and over in England are closing their doors for the last time.

Of course, in my days of ministering with you, you had the strength which helped greatly – the modern floor plan of your church building, a huge number of helpers who did most of the work and terrific youth club.  With this combination how would you not succeed? Of course, today at 88 I am limiting myself to leading a Bible Study class which I hold in my home.  Doris and I with our two boys (Stephen and Jonathan) have been very happy in America over the past 43 years.  Stephen finally married a lass from Thrum Hall (Sally Hennel) and celebrated his 60th birthday this year.  Jonathan married Michigander and has 6 children. Doris, Stephen and Sally, Jonathan too, wish to send their greetings.

We often think about you all and I thank you for the wonderful support you gave me in my days with you, so keep strong for Jesus.  Always remember that Christianity is not so much a Religion as it is a relationship with the Resurrected and living Lord Jesus Christ.  I will be with you all in prayer on 29th May.

1 Corinthians 16:13/

We will all meet together again – upstairs!! Keep the faith till then.

Yours in Christ,

Wesley
