Social Activities

Movement to Music
The group meets on Mondays.
The class is 10am—11am, followed by tea and biscuits (and plenty of socialising!)

It is basically a friendly, keep-fit group for the over 55s, and both men and women are welcome. There are currently 55 people on the books, but in the interest of health and safety, not all are able to attend the class, and there is currently a short waiting list.

As the name suggests, the aim is to keep us all moving, and exercises are done to various types of music. Some are fairly strenuous and some easy, but everyone sets their own limits, and there is no pressure to over exert. Enjoyment is the aim, and there are plenty of chairs available, when enough is enough!

Community Choir
The community choir has been running now for over 4 years and is open to anyone. There are no auditions just turn up and sing!  We sing a variety of styles of music that is easy to sing and we perform regularly at community and church events. Choir members say we have a lot of fun and find the singing feeds their bodies, minds and souls. Practice dates are published in the news letter and calendar.

Note - The choir group has been suspended until further notice.
